Overview:
Overview

Manager, System Nursing and Patient Care Services Education - Develop, coordinate and implement system clinical education initiatives for transition to practice programs, initial and annual competency functions and lifelong learning responsibilities in centralized educational programs across continuum. Plan, direct and evaluate educational programs for staff to improve competencies, which are innovative in delivery and design, reflect efficient use of work time and maximize use of technology. Ensure educational programs correlate with quality, outcome, and safety initiatives. Promote clinical judgment and improving patient outcomes. Supports creativity, innovation and change to promote excellence. Develops and supports preceptors in their roles. Provides mentorship to students and staff. Participates and promotes collegiality within the interdisciplinary health care system. Oversees educational program relationships for health care students. Mentor of professional practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, standards of care, safety and regulatory support. Manages fiscal, staff and supply resources for responsible areas. Ensures instruction is consistent with national professional standards.

Education
  • Bachelor's in Nursing (Required)
  • Master's Level Degree IN Nursing, Education or Informatics. Preferred.

Certification/Licensure
  • Registered Nurse License (RN) - Nursing License - Compact/Multi-State License (Required)

Experience
  • 3 years experience in Staff development required
  • 3 years experience in Nursing education required
