Job Summary:

Responsible for plant Delivery performance, Inventory, Logistics, Capacity Management, and the plant purchasing requirements related to Direct, Indirect, Tooling, CAPEX spend.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or equivalent experience is preferred.

Minimum of Ten years of experience related to defined job responsibilities or equivalent training.

Understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Good management and leadership skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Good computer proficiency / Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Strong understanding of APQP

APIC's Certification preferred

Working knowledge of departmental process documents

Process Owner (Purchasing and Materials), Must initiate, complete or drive completion of, and maintain department level documentation to include the most up to date Customer Specific Requirements (CSR's), ISO/IATF requirements, standards and specifications as required to provide instruction for, operation, methodology, data collection and traceability. They are responsible for on-time delivery of product documentation releases, (i.e. Flow, FMEA, control plan, job instructions, gauge instructions, Set-up Instructions, and others, as applicable). Process owner is responsible for the completion of all corrective actions as assigned per QA-WI-042 "Corrective and Preventative Action"

Ensure that all departmental personnel abide by the companies polices including but not limited to the following:

Human Resources

Manages and prioritizes daily department activities which include but are not limited to....

Compliance with the plant business operating systems.

APQP requirements utilizing the Martinrea Gate Review Processes.

Inventory management/accuracy (MRO/Production/Service & In-Transit) and consignment initiatives

Pricing & contract negotiations

Payment terms management

Supplier and Customer deliveries

SNCR cost recoveries

Expedite and Freight Management

Supplier Score Card Management & Supplier Development

Customer service deliverables

Sourcing and Resourcing initiatives

Adherence to purchasing and materials work instructions

Assigned internal audits and external supplier audits

KPI reporting ( Plant & Corporate )

Corrective actions

Cost control and continuous improvement

Evaluation of equipment requirements and capabilities

Departmental meetings and communications

Investigates, in conjunction with Quality Control Engineers, to resolve non-conformance issues and customer concerns.

Assigns and schedules employees and resources for the department.

Recommends changes in working conditions and use of equipment.

Evaluates the performance, training requirements, growth potential of department employees using employee evaluations, goals and objectives, individual development plans, and succession planning.

Evaluates department staffing resource needs.

Analyses and resolves or assists employees in solving work problems.

Confers with and supports other staff members and leadership.

Review annually, each December, the Departmental Turtle Diagram and KPI's for the following year's requirements.

Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Follow instructions/direction as required by Senior Management

Perform all other duties as assigned.
