Full Job Description
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in stock compensation accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, technical accounting, or equity administration who are looking to apply their expertise in a new way.

This role offers the unique chance to leverage your equity accounting background in a different type of role within People Success, taking ownership of the equity administration process while continuing to build on the technical foundation you've developed. It's an opportunity to expand beyond a pure accounting function and apply your stock compensation knowledge across a broader, more cross-functional program.

This role will own the day-to-day administration of Realty Income's global equity compensation programs, including RSA, RSU, and PSU grants, vesting events, employee transactions, reporting support, UK plan administration, insider trading processes, reconciliations, and tax reporting. You'll partner closely across departments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong controls across the program. This hybrid position is based in our San Diego (Del Mar Heights) headquarters, with on-site work Monday through Thursday and remote work options on Friday.

What You'll Do
  • Support the administration of equity compensation programs throughout the full award lifecycle, including grants, vesting events, distributions, forfeitures, and terminations.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance to support ASC 718 stock compensation accounting, equity reconciliations, audit requests, quarterly reporting, and year-end activities.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and processes that support compliance, governance, data integrity, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with Legal on equity-related governance activities, SEC requirements, insider trading administration, trading windows, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage employee communication and education related to equity programs. Serve as a resource for employees and leaders by explaining equity awards, vesting events, transactions, and program provisions.
  • Support the administration and optimization of the company's equity administration platform and related processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, strengthen controls, improve automation, and elevate the overall participant experience.
  • Contribute to special projects involving equity administration, executive compensation, compensation programs, governance initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in equity administration, equity accounting, stock compensation accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, technical accounting, compensation, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a public company environment.
  • Experience supporting equity compensation programs, stock-based compensation accounting, public company reporting, compensation administration, or related governance and compliance activities.
  • Exposure to ASC 718 stock-based compensation accounting, equity reconciliations, disclosures, reporting, audit support, or related activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data, reporting, and systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience administering equity compensation programs, including RSAs, RSUs, PSUs, or restricted stock awards.
  • Experience supporting executive and director equity programs.
  • Familiarity with Equity Edge, Shareworks, Morgan Stanley at Work, or similar equity administration platforms.
  • Experience supporting SOX controls, external audits, public company reporting processes, or SEC-related activities.
  • Exposure to executive compensation or compensation programs.
  • CPA, CEP, CCP, or related certification preferred.

The base salary range for this role is $114,974 - $146,249 - $172,039

Offers near the high end are uncommon but may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience and skills and are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, to be discussed during the interview process. An annual pay rate and total compensation package is generally determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.

We offer a best-in-class benefits package that includes healthcare, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents. Our 401(k)-retirement plan has a company match of 50% up to 6% of eligible compensation. Realty Income also offers other wellness, financial, and work/lifestyle-specific benefits, along with a generous PTO accrual; in addition to 12 paid holidays, and paid volunteer time. Realty Income's purpose is to build enduring relationships and brighter financial futures, and this starts with you!

This role is subject to enhanced compliance and disclosure requirements consistent with those of a financial services organization.
