PostingJob Summary:As a valued leader on our Global Procurement team, you will develop, manage, and guide the overall sourcing and category management strategy for the Fleet & Freight Category across the UGI Family of Companies. You'll design and execute the enterprise and cross-BU category plan by analyzing historical and projected spend, contractual relationships, and industry trends-providing a canvas that informs and governs all category, subcategory, and sourcing activities. You will lead cross-functional teams, partner with BU stakeholders and sourcing leads, and drive optimal value through competitive supplier selection following UGI's strategic sourcing process.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesCore Category Management: RFP/RFI/RFQ & Contracting (40%)
- Develop and execute category strategy, including opportunity identification, requirements gathering, current-state assessment, spend analysis, and category segmentation
- Lead RFI/RFP/RFQ activities, supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, selection, contracting, and implementation
- Perform market and benchmark analysis, total cost modeling, and spend analytics
- Configure and facilitate eSourcing and eAuction events
- Make sourcing recommendations to internal stakeholders
General Category Management (30%)
- Manage category-focused projects via total cost analysis (sourcing, demand management, process audits)
- Develop and maintain category profiles: strategy alignment, demand/supply outlook, SWOT, stakeholder maps, cost models
- Establish strategic global supplier relationships and guide their overall management
- Identify and mitigate supplier risks; report business implications
- Oversee contract negotiations and execution with legal, BU, and finance partners
Procurement & Supplier Activities (20%)
- Own the supplier relationship management process, including QBRs and Supplier Performance Reviews
- Benchmark category performance against external data and best practices; implement improvements
- Lead supplier selection teams and partner with Operational Procurement on buying channel design
Other (10%)
- Support department initiatives, Ariba projects, savings validation, and the supplier diversity program
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Ability to lead and influence in a global, matrixed environment
- Trusted advisor capable of building credibility with stakeholders who own supplier relationships
- Deep category and business knowledge with strong opportunity-identification instincts
- Skilled negotiator able to draft SOWs and basic contract language
- Proficient in eSourcing/eAuction tools; Ariba Sourcing preferred
- Proven success leveraging enterprise spend and executing global agreements
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, spend assessment, and project management
- Minimum 2 years of Category Management experience
