Overview:

The Manager, Software Development, Engineering & Services within Northwell Health's Robotic Process Automation Center of Excellence is responsible for leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-scale automation initiatives that improve the efficiency, quality, and reliability of healthcare operations.
This position provides both strategic and technical leadership across the complete automation lifecycle-from intake, discovery, and solution design through development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement. The Manager works closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and enterprise partners to ensure automation initiatives align with organizational objectives, technical standards, cybersecurity requirements, and RPA CoE governance.
The role requires strong knowledge of the UiPath platform and enterprise automation practices, including UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, Test Suite, Document Understanding, AI Center, Action Center, Integration Service, Automation Ops, and related intelligent automation capabilities.

Preferred Skills
• UiPath Certified Professional - Automation Developer Professional or equivalent advanced UiPath certification.
• UiPath Solution Architect certification or demonstrated enterprise UiPath architecture experience.
• Experience with UiPath Orchestrator, Test Suite, Document Understanding, AI Center, Action Center, Integration Service, Automation Ops, Automation Cloud, Insights, and Automation Hub.
• Healthcare IT experience supporting clinical, revenue-cycle, financial, or administrative workflows.
• Experience managing globally distributed development, engineering, or support teams.
• Experience implementing RPA governance, reusable automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, production-monitoring capabilities, and enterprise automation standards.

Job Description

Collaborates and coordinates with other departments. Provides leadership to team members and supervisors; reviews company and customer objectives; resolves issues regarding contract compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides leadership to Software Development, Engineering and Services team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding designing, building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting applications or the health systems software, which may include web or mobile applications.
  • Develops and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
  • Establishes functional requirements and reviews solutions to ensure organizational needs are met.
  • Works with the technical teams to analyze acquisition requirements.
  • Advises all levels of staff and management regarding contract terms and conditions, applicable policies and procedures, and best practices to advance IT department business objectives.
  • Oversees implementation of one or more software development methodologies.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations; advises project leaders regarding contractual issues; works with vendors and organization teams to understand and resolve contractual issues.
  • Collaborates with stakeholder departments throughout negotiation to facilitate contract implementation.
  • Monitors active contracts and helps IT staff with ensuring contractual commitments are understood and met.
