Job DescriptionResponsible for leading Sales & Clinical Training programs and initiatives that drive field excellence, commercial effectiveness, and clinical competency across the organization. Partner with Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, and subject matter experts to develop and execute training strategies that enhance onboarding, product adoption, procedural proficiency, and long-term field capability. Oversee training effectiveness, curriculum governance, and performance metrics while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and business priorities. Job duties:
Training Strategy & Program Leadership (40%)
- Develop and execute sales and clinical training strategies aligned with commercial objectives and organizational priorities.
- Own onboarding, product launch, procedural training, and field development programs across the commercial organization.
- Identify capability gaps and implement development initiatives to improve field effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Partner with Commercial Leadership to establish annual training priorities and success metrics.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts for training content, delivery methods, and learning outcomes.
- Oversee certification and competency governance processes.
Curriculum Development & Organizational Effectiveness (30%)
- Oversee development and maintenance of training curricula, certification programs, competency frameworks, and learning pathways.
- Establish key performance indicators for training effectiveness.
- Ensure training content remains current, accurate, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
- Establish training effectiveness measures and evaluate impact on employee performance and organizational goals.
- Utilize training analytics, learner feedback, and field performance data to drive program enhancements.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration (30%)
- Lead cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders across Sales, Clinical, Marketing, and Commercial Excellence functions.
- Provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise to field leaders and training contributors.
- Serve as a key advisor on field capability development and commercial readiness initiatives.
- Present training results and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements, and demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Education, Nursing, Business, Medical Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience in neurovascular, medical device, healthcare, or related clinical/commercial training environments.
- Minimum one (1) year of management or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated clinical and technical knowledge related to neurovascular procedures, therapies, or technologies.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse learner audiences.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and learning management platforms.
Desired Qualifications- Neurovascular medical device experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in clinical education, field training, physician education, or sales training within the medical device industry.
- Experience developing Clinical Specialists or supporting commercial field organizations.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience supporting product launches and competitive training initiatives.
- Ability to build collaborative partnerships across commercial, clinical, and marketing functions.
- Preference for candidates residing in Southern California and able to commute to Aliso Viejo, California.
Salary Range$135,529 - 177,881 (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)
