As the
Manager, Safety & Security, you will lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety and security programs to protect employees, facilities, and assets. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks across operations. You will partner closely with leadership, People & Culture, and external agencies to drive continuous improvement and support a safe, compliant, and secure workplace environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop the safety team to ensure effective execution of safety and security initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and training aligned with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for incident investigations, near-misses, and workplace accidents; track and analyze safety metrics.
- Partner with People & Culture to track and manage workers' compensation cases.
- Oversee fire and life safety programs, including drills, emergency response plans, and equipment inspections.
- Manage physical security programs to protect employees, facilities, and company assets.
- Ensure compliance with CTPAT and other security requirements.
- Communicate safety expectations, findings, and recommendations to leadership and employees.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on achieving zero accidents and injuries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support safety and security objectives.
Who We're Looking For
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety or security role, preferably within warehouse or multi-facility operations.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, CTPAT compliance, physical security, and fire and life safety.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving safety initiatives.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification required.
- Safety certifications such as CSP or ASP preferred.
The salary range for this role is $96,000 to $110,000 and a yearly bonus potential. This range is applicable for jobs performed in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
