Full Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily rental operations, including scheduling, dispatching, equipment preparation, and logistics. .
  • Ensure rental equipment is maintained, inspected, and ready for deployment.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, installations, and demobilizations.
  • Monitor fleet utilization and work with sales to maximize rental revenue.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with emergency response efforts and after-hours customer support as required.
  • Review rental contracts and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Coordinate with Parts, Service, Sales, and Transportation departments to meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of rental accessories, cables, fuel tanks, load banks, transformers, and related equipment.
  • Track key performance indicators including fleet utilization, downtime, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
  • Support customer site visits, project planning, and technical consultations when needed.

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Supervise and evaluate rental personnel.
  • Conduct employee training and performance reviews.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development.
  • Schedule staffing to support normal business operations as well as emergency response.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in equipment rental, power generation, construction equipment, or industrial service.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of diesel generators, load banks, transformers, ATSs, fuel systems, and temporary power equipment.
  • Knowledge of rental operations, fleet management, dispatching, and logistics.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/rental management software.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Generac, CAT, Cummins, Multiquip, or similar power generation equipment.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • DOT and transportation knowledge.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing emergency power or disaster response projects.


Compensation: Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Target Compensation is $113,400-$150,000. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
