Job Title: Quality ManagerExempt Status: ExemptLocation: East Windsor, CTSummary: The Hanwha Aerospace USA Quality Manager will be responsible for all activities associated with the Quality function reporting directly to the Director of Quality.
Essential Functions:- Lead the Quality Assurance function, including development, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of all quality policies, procedures, and systems.
- Manage, mentor, and direct all quality team members.
- Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is understood, maintained, and followed by the organization.
- Manage internal and external audit activities (AS9100, NADCAP, Customer, etc) to maintain certifications and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to identify, contain, and resolve quality issues, including stop-work procedures, and corrective/preventative measures (RCCA).
- Ensure full compliance with export control regulations and requirements.
- Manage completion of first article inspection and qualification packages (i.e. work center, operator, and process) including submittal and approval from customers.
- Drive continuous improvement activity to achieve year-over-year performance gains through quality KPIs, robust 8Ds, SPC data analysis, non-conformance tracking, and monthly reviews (MCAT).
- Serve as the primary Quality interface with customers, including handling complaints and supporting MRB activities and DQR requirements.
- Manage all inspection and measurement systems including incoming, in-process, CMM, final inspections, and gage calibration.
- Manage Metallurgical laboratory responsibilities and activities per customer requirements.
- Ensure quality documentation is managed including scanning, retention, and reporting.
- Support MRB Quality Clinic process, MRB actions / reductions and successful response to complaints.
- Lead quality planning and new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure timely and complete execution, including contract review, reviewing data, gaging and SPC planning, CMM program development and validation, special processes approvals, and customer submissions.

Required Qualifications & Experience:- Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR and EAR technical data.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing and 5+ years of management experience.

- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting CAD drawings, blueprints, engineer work instructions.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Knowledge of manufacturing support processes and systems (inspection, gauging, data collection, records & reporting, first article approvals).
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Syteline).
- Knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection and correlation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.
- Ability to travel 5-10% when required.
