Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the NQA-1 control program for Fabrication LOB
  • Supervise and train QC Technicians, including performance management
  • Coordinate internal and supplier audits
  • Enforce compliance with ASME NQA-1 and legal standards
  • Review and approve QC reports and inspection documentation
  • Collaborate with teams to address contract issues
  • Ensure resolution of quality issues prior to shipment

Full Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Develop, implement, and manage the NQA-1 control program for the Fabrication LOB
  • Supervise and coach QC Technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Coordinate supplier and internal audits
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with ASME NQA-1 industry standard all associated legal requirements
  • Review and approve QC reports, inspection results, and documentation
  • Review purchase contracts during bidding and purchasing on all Nuclear projects
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, management teams, and the customer to resolve contract issues
  • Resolve all quality issues prior to shipment
  • Report Non-Compliances to the customer and to the NRC when appropriate
  • Verify all NQA-1 safety-related documentation is correct and complete
  • Perform surveillance over vendor sites who do not have an NQA-1 program when the vendor's products or services are being used for NQA-1 safety-related projects
  • Maintain NIAC accreditation for performing audits


What You'll Need
  • Minimum 2 years experience as supervisor, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NQA-1 quality standard and applicable Codes of Federal Regulation
  • Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and state/federal regulations for steel reinforcing products used in the construction of nuclear power generation facilities
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and guide team members
  • Ability to drive results through collaboration and influence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Your Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science, mathematics, or engineering, and 2 years' experience as an auditor or Quality System Administrator
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and 5 years' experience as an auditor or Quality System Administrator
