Pay Range DOE: $100,000 - $120,000 Annually

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. (This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with the potential for full-time, permanent employment.)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives and ensure products consistently meet established standards for safety, reliability, and performance. This role is responsible for overseeing quality systems, supporting UL certification requirements, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, expertise in electronics manufacturing, and a commitment to operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Direct quality inspection activities for printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies, and precision sheet metal components.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, specifications, and compliance records.
  • Manage nonconformance investigations by conducting root cause analyses and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report key quality performance indicators, including yields, defect trends, customer returns, and process performance metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Assurance personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) remains compliant with ISO 9001 standards, UL requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate and maintain UL certification activities, including certifications related to components, assemblies, and finished products.
  • Plan, support, and oversee internal and external audits to ensure ongoing readiness and compliance with ISO, UL, and customer requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred but not required.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification preferred.


Experience:

  • Experience working with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance and quality control experience within electronics or PCBA manufacturing environments.
  • At least 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a quality-focused role.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and compliance standards.
  • Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining UL certifications, including UL 94, UL 508A, and related requirements.
  • Demonstrated success leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems and Quality Management System (QMS) software preferred.
  • Background in high-reliability electronics manufacturing is a plus.


OTHER:

  • Extensive knowledge of IPC industry standards, including IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600, along with familiarity with RoHS compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience inspecting precision sheet metal components and assemblies using detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFR (Design for Reliability), and RMA processing procedures.
  • Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis and present data-driven findings and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, and quality requirements accurately.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
