Position Details- Location: Clearwater, FL (Hybrid)

- Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Manager System Communications:- Manages external traditional media and public relations efforts, including providing key guidance, management and support in issue management, Public Relations strategy and media engagement for the System and individual entities.
- Must be comfortable with matrix reporting and can work with other managers and across the Communications Team to triage situations and provide support and guidance on emerging external demands.
- Plays a key role in proactive external messaging and storytelling in service to market share, brand awareness and the delivery of quality health care.
- Implements external facing traditional communications policies and programs with Market, Service Line and other system leaders in coordination with the System Communications Manager and the Communications Social Media Manager to efficiently and effectively develop and maintain the interest of the public, team members and medical community; the system's reputation, collectively and as individual entities; and to support the goodwill toward the system.
- Manages executive training efforts. Responsible for managing Communications Coordinators and Strategists and also supports matrix reporting as needed for maximum team impact and best practices for communications amplification.
- Collaborates with Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Social Media teams to integrate data-driven communications and multi-channel outreach that support strategic direction across the enterprise.
- Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and maintain alignment with government relations priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:Education - Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field
Preferred Education - Master's degree in Communications or a related field
Experience - Minimum of 7 years of experience in one of the following areas:
- Public Relations
- Journalism
- Communications
Preferred Experience - 3 years of experience in a healthcare-related field
