Manager, Project Management - US Card Acquisitions, Targeting Operations (Hybrid)
As a Manager, Project Manager at Capital One in the Card Acquisition Targeting Operations Team, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. General Responsibilities:
L2 Platform Management:
Define, deploy, and manage the L2 operational framework, including incident escalation paths, root-cause analysis and resolution SLAs.
Lead cross-functional triage for complex platform issues, acting as the primary liaison between L1 support teams and L3/engineering.
Establish capacity planning, performance tracking, and continuous improvement metrics for the L2 support workflow.
Process & Governance Strategy:
Design, document, and enforce core governance policies, standard operating procedures and control framework across the platform ecosystem.
Conduct regular process reviews to identify operational bottlenecks, security risks and optimization opportunities.
Oversee change management protocols to ensure all platform updates comply with governance guidelines.
Audit & Compliance Lead:
Own end-to-end audit management, serving as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors.
Map platform workflows against compliance standards and drive pre-audit readiness reviews.
Track audit findings, create remediation roadmaps and enforce closure of corrective action plans.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
Communicate operational performance, incident trends, and audit readiness status to key leadership stakeholders.
Maintain centralized documentation repositories for governance standards, audit evidence, and L2 Knowledge Base articles.
Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports.
Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery.
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project/program efforts.
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style.
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 5 Years of Project Management experience
At least 2 Year of People Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or MBA
6+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project ManagementRichmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
