Manager, Project Management (Tech Learning Consultation & Design)
This role will provide learning consultation and design for high priority learning initiatives within the Tech organization. This person will own the learning needs analysis and stakeholder relationships to create the learning roadmap, as well as partner with vendors, internal SMEs, and others to deliver learning in a variety of modalities. This role is expected to identify and escalate issues in risks in their team's delivery and will be responsible for partnering with engineering to execute and deliver technical solutions as needed. In partnership with our engineering team, this role may lean in and support the execution of an internal certification product.

General Responsibilities include:
Act as the dedicated L&D partner for Tech leaders to identify skill gaps and skills of the future - including AI fluency and digital skills adoption
Lead consultation and design of identified learning solutions,, leveraging various modalities and design methodologies to ensure content is delivered in the best possible medium
Partner with Tech College Engineers to deploy learning through dedicated Tech College products and platforms
Project manage multiple initiatives, leading program teams and providing strategic support as needed
Own the measurement and evaluation strategy to ensure learning solutions deliver desired outcomes
Collaborate on learner communications and external storytelling, sharing insights and outcomes about your work
We are looking for someone with:
Experience educating, onboarding, or supporting technical or tech-aligned roles
Experience partnering with key stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and define new initiatives for business impact
Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
Effective communication, both written and verbally, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to manage ambiguity, lead through change, and deliver in a matrixed environment
High level of initiative, ownership, and a customer-centric mindset
Strong expertise in applying adult learning theories to shape strategy
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
At least 3 years of experience in client facing consulting
At least 2 years of experience in learning and development
At least 1 year of experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or equivalent certifications
4+ years of experience in consulting, advising, and influencing leadership
3+ years of experience in learning strategy creation
2+ years of experience in large-scale project management
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project Management
Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
