DescriptionThe Northrop Grumman (NG) Human Resources organization is seeking a Manager Program Management 3 to own and deliver in-person program management training cohorts across the enterprise as a member of the Enterprise Critical Skills Development (CSD) organization. CSD delivers development resources to the global NG workforce by understanding capability needs, designing strategic content and programs, and ensuring resources are accessible and relevant across the enterprise.
The qualified candidate may be located anywhere within the continental United States near an existing Northrop Grumman facility.
We are seeking a Manager Program Management 3 to lead and deliver in-person program management training cohorts across the enterprise. This role will be integral in developing and delivering high-caliber training that translates complex Program Management concepts into actionable learning outcomes. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, a dynamic presenter, has a proven track record in facilitating, and a solid understanding of Program Management principles & practices, all while managing a substantial travel schedule and, as appropriate, leading a small delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
The Manager Program Management 3, reporting to the CSD Program Management Delivery Manager, will:
- Deliver in-person program management training sessions to current Program Managers, ensuring that learning objectives are met with clarity and impact.
- Develop and adapt course materials and training content that resonate with both new and experienced program managers.
- Utilize real-world examples and best practices to drive participant engagement and facilitate open, insightful discussions.
- Assess training effectiveness through participant feedback and evaluation data, continuously refining content to meet participant needs and align with enterprise standards.
- Analyze and report on cohort outcomes and key metrics (e.g., completion, evaluation results, business impact), synthesizing insights and recommendations from stakeholders to demonstrate cohort effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
- Manage travel and logistics associated with training sessions, ensuring seamless execution of on-site events.
- Provide guidance and coordination to any supporting delivery staff (e.g., project managers, logistics support) to ensure consistent, high-quality cohort delivery.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience OR Master’s degree with at least 8 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Program Management applying key concepts such as risk management, change management, EVMS, financial acumen, and program baselining
- Demonstrated experience in delivering and supporting in-person training programs with a strong focus on engagement and practical application
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner
- Proven ability to work effectively in dynamic environments, managing multiple projects and travel requirements (up to 50% travel)
- Demonstrated experience leading a team, including setting direction, providing coaching and feedback, and driving delivery against commitments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a collaborative training environment
- Demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness in addressing diverse training challenges and audience needs
- Experience working with cohort-based learning models, adult learning principles, or learning and development initiatives.
- Master’s degree in Business, Management, STEM, or a related field or professional certification (e.g., PMP)
Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $289,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
