L3Harris is looking for a Manager to lead Material Panners and Schedulers covering various programs at our Huntsville manufacturing facilities. Primary job consists of supervising a team of employees responsible for all planning, production control, and production scheduling across multiple contracts, while utilizing the MRP/ERP systems. This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the management of the MRP output for the facility to manage production and development requirements by utilizing our ERP system (Oracle), to meet internal and external customer delivery dates.

Ability to understand production scheduling and the effects it has on operations and the supply chain.

Established analytical skills, focused on the ability to identify and implement creative solutions to complex problems

Manage ad-hoc projects selected by the organization with minimal supervision.

Ability to recognize the potential in others and mentor, coach, and facilitate their development to maximize growth and application of talents for the benefit of the organization and the individual.

Develop training and metrics to help their team improve in all areas of their job roles.

Master Production Scheduling (MPS) & MRP Execution
• Lead daily MPS/MRP activities in Oracle.
• Integrate IMS demand into the Master Production Schedule.
• Execute MRP to meet operating plan and program commitments.
• Perform Material Line of Balance analysis.
• Release manufacturing orders and purchase requisitions.
• Partner closely with Operations, Warehousing, and Logistics.
• Support Internal and MMAS audit requirements.

SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning) Support
• Provide tactical support to shop floor meetings.
• Conduct near-term resource loading and shop dispatching.
• Load independent demand into MRP as needed.
• Identify schedule constraints and assess delivery risk.
• Maintain accurate work order status and WIP visibility.

Business Process Maturity & Team Development
• Develop team skills and capabilities.
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and MMAS standards.
• Incorporate best practices into standard work.
• Promote safety, diversity, ethics, engagement, and career development.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong understanding of customer/program requirements, manufacturing operations, and assembly/test environments.
Significant experience with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle strongly preferred), including scheduling and capacity planning functionality.
Demonstrated hands-on leadership style with daily team engagement.
Experience working in cross-functional environments.
Ability to obtain US Security Clearance
