2nd Shift Production ManagerWhat You Will DoManage subordinate managers who supervise employees in fabrication and assembly areas. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's values, policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints, resolving problems, coaching, and leading by example.
- Drives continuous improvement within department as it pertains to safety, quality, schedule attainment, cost reduction, productivity, and employee engagement.
- Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
What You Will Need:- Advanced knowledge of PC usage required to include using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience using Axapta preferred, or using similar program required
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required, plus ten years directly-related experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
