This role leads the design, development, delivery, and continuous evolution of customer-facing digital products, web applications, and supporting technology platforms in an Agile environment. The position manages teams of product managers, software developers, architects, and technical staff responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing digital experiences. The role provides leadership across modern web technologies, API integrations, cloud-native architectures, and digital experience platforms (DXPs), while ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

The Manager, Product & Engineering is responsible for building and developing high-performing teams, driving engineering excellence, and enabling the successful delivery of critical business initiatives within the Postpaid Apps (Service Management) space of the Web Platform. This includes oversight of front-end and full-stack development, CMS-enabled digital experiences, application modernization efforts, and emerging AI-powered capabilities that enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Success in this role is measured through delivery of business outcomes, platform reliability, engineering team performance, adoption of modern development practices, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional partners. The work directly impacts organizational capabilities by advancing scalable digital solutions, improving customer experiences, and supporting the long-term evolution of the web platform ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage product and engineering teams to deliver business outcomes through direction, coaching, feedback, technical leadership, and performance management.
  • Lead delivery of customer-facing web applications, APIs, and digital experience capabilities supporting critical Postpaid Apps (Service Management) initiatives.
  • Oversee technical vendor relationships for digital experience platforms, web technologies, and supporting tools, driving feature and functionality requests for future product releases.
  • Evaluate and guide technical solutions involving modern CMS platforms, cloud-native architectures, API integrations, and front-end application frameworks to ensure scalability, security, maintainability, and business value.
  • Implement continuous improvements in development practices across technical disciplines including Agile delivery, DevOps, application security, quality engineering, web performance optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with product, architecture, and engineering teams to translate business requirements and high-level solution designs into actionable delivery plans, technical workstreams, and execution priorities.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends related to web development, API integration, digital experience platforms, cloud-native solutions, and AI-enabled customer experiences.
  • Recruit and hire qualified team members to strengthen product and project teams, including contract staff as needed.
  • Prioritize work and allocate resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, establish development goals, and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.


Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced Degree with 3 years of related experience. (Required)

  • 4-7 years Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment. (Required)

  • Agile Methodologies Knowledge in software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools. (Required)
  • Technical Writing Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences. (Required)
  • Agile Knowledge of the overall execution relating to all aspects of an agile development team, from defining the strategy and architecture through deployment and support. (Required)
  • Agile Project Management Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools. (Required)
  • Technology Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives. (Required)
  • Communication Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence. (Required)

Base Compensation Range

Overland Park, KS: $146,200 - $197,800

Bellevue, WA: $174,500 - $236,100

Atlanta, GA: $152,200 - $205,900

Base Pay Range: $134,300 - $242,200

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
