Your Opportunity

Taylor Print & Visual Impressions is looking for a Pre Production Manager in our Duluth GA facility. This leader is responsible for leading the PrePress, Scheduling, Planning, and Purchasing teams to ensure work is accurately planned, prepared, and released to production for execution. This position oversees production readiness, workflow management, capacity planning, and material availability while partnering closely with Operations leadership to support on-time delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Pre Production Manager utilizes data, process controls, and continuous improvement principles to optimize workflow and drive business performance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and develop the PrePress, Scheduling, Planning, and Purchasing teams.
  • Oversee workflow from order intake through release to production.
  • Ensure jobs are complete, accurate, and production-ready prior to manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules that align customer requirements with operational capacity.
  • Manage purchasing activities to ensure material availability and supplier performance.
  • Establish process controls and workflow standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and utilize data to drive operational decisions.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve workflow and throughput.
  • Partner with the Production Manager to ensure seamless transition of work to the manufacturing floor.
  • Coordinate resolution of rework, schedule changes, material shortages, and workflow issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Develop team members through coaching, training, and performance management.


YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, purchasing, production control, or operations leadership.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, production processes, and process controls.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


WE WOULD ALSO PREFER
  • Printing, visual communications, graphics, signage, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • APICS/CPIM or Supply Chain certifications.
  • Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
