Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field required
  • A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • 5+ years project management experience
  • 5+ years PMO management experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Public Sector customers, including but not limited to Federal Government and SLED customers
  • Strong leadership capability able to develop talent and capabilities, identifies and cultivates essential skills and attributes to maximize individual contribution and engagement
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across functions based on trust and respect
  • Promote the inclusion of diverse knowledge, skills, and experiences to achieve results
  • Excellent understanding of financial processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think innovatively and implement change
  • Able to forecast future trends and manage change
  • Ability to think innovatively and have strong issue resolution skills
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred
  • Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria in obtaining results. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Takes calculated risks with consultation from the expert.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $155,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

A Brief Overview

The PMO Manager is responsible for the successful execution of projects, ensuring process adherence, individual team member development, and creating a positive work environment. The PMO manager works closely with Engineering, Regional Managers, Finance, and Account Teams, to build strong relationships leading to successful project and program outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • In-depth understanding of project management methodologies
  • Ensures projects are planned and executed in line with the PMO methodology
  • Maintains continued focus on methodologies & deployment process improvements
  • Inspection of project deliverables
  • Works directly with Sales, Project Managers, & deployment resources to ensure successful execution of our engagements
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and any SLA's are met or exceeded
  • Possesses an In depth understanding of financial & cost control practices
  • Accurately forecasts project end dates and drives efforts to ensure realization is maintained
  • Responsible for personnel management and development
  • Recruitment, interviewing, & forecasting staffing needs
  • Proper staffing & utilization management
  • Identifies knowledge gaps and creates training plans to improve individual performance
  • Builds a high-performance team with high morale
  • Ensures team is driving toward project schedule, scope, and financial milestone expectations
  • Provides oversight on the day-to-day aspects of projects within the team
  • Excellent understanding of issue management and resolution, as well as risk mitigation
  • Communicates any escalations and project concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensures PM rigor and discipline around communicating project lessons learned and following up on outstanding items
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external customers, as well as subcontractors
  • Reports on key metrics on a regular basis
