Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Physician coding department including staff supervision and quality of work performed. Direct responsibility for overseeing the processes related to accurate coding and timely release of accounts for billing. Responsible for the coding denial WQ to review, work and give feedback and education to the physicians and coders. The manager is responsible for updating and writing all polices pertaining to coding and coding education. Responsible for managing and coordinating the education, training, productivity, work assignments, quality reviews, and report management for the WPP coders and physicians. Supports management of the coding and CDI functions. Oversees CDI processes including implementation and adherence of best practice as well as compliance with regulations, standards, policies and procedures. Collaborates with Human Resources to develop recruitment plans based on labor needs, participates in internal and external job candidate selection, including screening, conducting interviews and onboarding. Supports management of the coding and CDI function.
