AECOM is seeking a Manager, Permitting to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world. This position is for a newly created position.
- Deliver the owner's (client) permitting obligations.
- Manage the Permitting team to effectively coordinate and assure a robust permit to work process across the program.
- Develop and implement revised governance and processes required for effective permitting on a program of this size, scale, and complexity.
- Liaise with the other client departments including corporate safety and security, operations, commercial, and maintenance to coordinate permitting.
- Confirm the contractors' Permitting plans and implement the assurance regime for the program.
- Work collaboratively with the Program Leads and the other PMO Services functional leads to ensure that Permitting is integrated across the program.
- Provide Management and Executive level reporting and provide advice and subject matter expertise with respect to trends and corrective actions.
- Provide advice and guidance with respect to permitting policy and regulations that impact program delivery.
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of client staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- University Degree with 10+ years of professional experience in permitting and approvals.
Preferred Requirements:
• Typically, a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a program management and / or permitting, consents, and approvals function.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
• Thorough working knowledge of general and local requirements with respect to 3rd party approvals, permits, and consents.
• Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
• Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic level reporting to enable effective decision making.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting / workshops with large groups of stakeholders.
• Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset
