Job Description

What you'll do

  • Leads a team of line maintenance planners that are responsible for developing, executing, maintaining and monitoring base planning schedules, line maintenance bill of works and established departmental metrics
  • Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of planned work are properly resourced from a labor, material, tooling and facility perspective
  • Identifies new opportunities to leverage available tools, processes and best practices
  • Has responsibility and oversees the operation from the Line Planning/Aircraft Routing perspective. This position, along with the Aircraft Routing, Manager on Duty, carries the authority to act as the Management representative for decisions within the authority of the Line Maintenance Planning Department
  • Works with department managers to identify business challenges and create solutions to address challenges
  • Uses various data sources to identify areas of optimization and performance improvement for department
  • Seeks out action plans and identifies corrective action for department
  • Improves communication with both internal and external customers
  • Provides guidance/coaching/mentorship to analysts/planners & empowers them to make effective, timely decisions and prepares them for future roles with increased responsibility

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
    • 5 years job related experience
  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Accounting or other business related field or equivalent experience/training
    • 3 years of work experience in a Maintenance or Materials Planning leadership role
    • Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge of company policies and procedures and functional automation applications
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Ability to modify existing processes by correcting problems, resolving issues and updating existing work methods

    • Proven experience in leading and motivating others by empowering and motivating employees
    • Takes ownership and promotes collaboration and teamwork
    • Effectively and professionally manage under pressure with limited time constraints
