Job Summary and Qualifications

Assures the delivery of professional nursing care within the Operating Room by assessing, planning, organizing, directing and evaluating nursing care provided to all surgery patients; collaborates with the OR Educator in education and training of all department staff both in the initial implementation phase and on an ongoing basis; develops staff by department specific needs assessment, development of goals and objectives, implementation methods, evaluation measures; develops, maintains and interprets policy and procedures; maintains fiscal responsibility for department.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Recent experience in Operating Room Nursing of at least 5 years required.
  • 2 years of management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • ACLS or CNOR preferred.
  • Current State of Texas RN license or compact state license required.
