Description

The Hospital Manager of Operations is responsible for supporting and coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of Sharon Regional Medical Center to promote efficiency, accountability, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and high-quality patient care.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position serves as a key operational partner to hospital leadership and works across clinical, administrative, and support departments to identify barriers, improve processes, coordinate organizational priorities, and ensure operational initiatives are effectively executed.

The Hospital Manager of Operations will maintain a strong presence throughout the hospital, working closely with department leaders and frontline teams to understand operational challenges and develop practical solutions. This role requires a hands-on leader who can move effectively between strategic priorities and daily operational needs while helping the hospital achieve its financial, quality, service, and performance objectives.

Requirements
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in hospital operations, healthcare administration, business operations, or a related field required.
• Previous experience working in an acute-care hospital environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives, coordinating cross-functional projects, and working with senior leadership required.
• Experience with budgeting, productivity management, performance metrics, process improvement, and operational reporting preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field required.
• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications in healthcare administration, operations, process improvement, or project management are preferred.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position within a hospital and administrative office environment.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the hospital for extended periods as necessary.
• Ability to use computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in person, electronically, and by telephone.
• Must be able to respond to operational needs throughout the hospital and adjust work hours when necessary to support hospital operations.
