Job DescriptionManager-Fund AccountingHybrid-Livingston, NJ or Wilmington, DEMonday to Friday 9 am to 6 pmSome of the things you will be doing:- Assist in managing client relationships
- Review accounting records, supporting schedules, and financial reports for assigned clients
- Review cash activity, including journal entries and wire transfers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Review investment activity, such as purchases and sales, and interest accruals/income
- Review comprehensive workpapers that fully reconcile and support the trial balance
- Review IRS Form 1099 in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to prepare all above bullets if needed
- Ensure standard procedures and controls are adhered to
- Communicate with clients to obtain information, resolve inquiries, and provide status updates
- Coordinate deliverables with client and internal teams
- Ensure all processes are in line with the SLA and escalate when needed
- Support the year end audit process as well as SOC 1 audit and SBA exam
- Career development, supervision, and training of staff
- Lead/Participate in projects focused on improving operational efficiency, including automation of Excel-based calculations and enhancement of workpaper processes
- Ensure that best practices are used by fund accounting team
- Perform internal tasks, including mandatory training and time tracking
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?- BS Degree in Accounting - CPA or CPA candidate a plus
- Experience in portfolio/investment and partnership accounting required
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, XIRR, SUBTOTAL, ROUND, named ranges)
- Investran and Geneva experience a plus
- Proficient in delegating responsibilities, mentoring staff, and overseeing team performance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience managing client relationships
At CSC, compensation decisions are dependent on a number of factors including job location and the knowledge and experience of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $140,000.
