Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner - Manager
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner to provide both clinical expertise and operational leadership within our Occupational Health programs.
Leadership & Operational Responsibilities
Oversee daily departmental operations, including supervision of 2 full-time RNs, PRN RNs, and an administrative assistant
Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals, policies, procedures, and standards of practice
Lead staffing activities including hiring, retention, performance management, evaluations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with policy
Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective workforce planning
Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, financial projections, and cost-effective operations
Maintain regulatory compliance and incorporate best practices and benchmarking into program development
Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and evaluate departmental performance
Serve as a role model for customer service and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders
Provide education, training, mentoring, and guidance to staff and volunteers
Maintain and analyze employee injury and illness data to support prevention strategies
Act as a health information resource for employees and managers
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide occupational health services including pre-employment screenings, work-related injury and exposure care, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and employee health assessments
Deliver direct patient care, counseling, and education per established protocols and standards
Conduct assessments for impairment, reasonable suspicion, and job-related fitness
Administer health screenings, immunizations, and preventive care services
Manage employee health surveillance programs and identify workplace health risks
Provide initial treatment for work-related injuries and coordinate referrals for workers' compensation cases
Promote workplace health, safety, injury prevention, and ergonomic best practices
Ensure compliance with state and federal occupational health regulations
Collaborate across departments and connect staff with appropriate community resources as needed
Experience:
Required: 2-4 years
Education:
Required: MSN or DNP
Licenses And Certification:
Required: Nurse Practitioner Certification
Pay Range: $53.84 to $80.76 Based On Experience
