Job Description:

Role Definition

The Logistics Manager develops, oversees, and continuously improves logistics, warehousing, transportation, and material flow operations supporting end-to-end supply chain execution for the Integrated Drivetrain Energy Solutions (IDES) Division. The position leads internal warehouse and dock operations, third-party logistics providers, facility fleet management, material movement to point-of-use operations, material movement automation support, and strategic warehouse partner relationships to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.

What you will do

  • Champion a culture of safety excellence by proactively identifying, assessing, and reducing high-energy hazards and exposure risks, ensuring compliance with enterprise safety standards and driving incident prevention across warehouse, dock, fleet, and automated material handling operations.

  • Lead and optimize internal warehouse, dock, inventory, and material flow operations to support production requirements, customer commitments, safety objectives, and operational performance targets.

  • Manage third-party logistics (3PL) provider and off-site warehouse partners, establishing performance expectations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring service, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and cost targets are achieved.

  • Oversee facility fleet operations, including forklifts, tuggers, carts, and material handling equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient support of manufacturing and warehouse activities.

  • Lead the operational support, performance management, and continuous improvement of automated material movement technologies, including autonomous mobile vehicles (AMRs), automated guided vehicles (AGVs/VGVs), and related fleet management systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient material flow while supporting the organization's automation growth strategy.

  • Manage and develop a team of logistics and warehouse professionals while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and continuous improvement objectives.

  • Maintains service for industrial vehicle repair, which is responsible for performing all repairs and preventive maintenance all vehicles plant wide.

Degree Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience is desired.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Distribution Center Management: Knowledge of distribution center management; ability to operate a warehouse or distribution center that handles the flow of goods from supplier to production to customer.

  • Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

  • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Supply Chain Management - Manufacturing: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

Top candidates will also have

  • Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations or Transportation Management

  • Solid logistics, operations and manufacturing knowledge

  • Extensive material distribution experience

  • Knowledge of material handling equipment

  • Working understanding of the various materials systems and how they interrelate

  • Capable of working and communicating with a variety of company (all levels) and supplier personnel

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma Project Management principles

  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired

  • This position will be located onsite 5 days a week in East Peoria, IL (Building KK).

  • Domestic relocation is Available

  • Travel requirements will be less than 10%.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
