Job Summary:

As the Manager, Logistics (3rd Shift), you will lead all warehouse and automation operations during 3rd Shift at the Midwest Logistics Center (MWLC) in Champaign, IL. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted material flow across inbound, storage, order fulfillment, and outbound processes while maximizing the performance of AutoStore automation, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), and supporting warehouse execution systems. The Manager, Logistics provides leadership to front-line supervisors and hourly employees, drives operational excellence, develops talent, and delivers results in safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.

What You Will Do:
  • Champion a zero-injury culture through visible leadership, accountability, engagement, and compliance.
  • Ensure safe operation of automated systems, AMRs, material handling equipment, and warehouse processes.
  • Conduct safety observations, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Partner with EHS to identify and eliminate operational risks.
  • Lead all 3rd shift warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, AutoStore replenishment, order fulfillment, kitting, and outbound support.
  • Execute staffing and production plans to achieve throughput, service, inventory accuracy, backlog reduction, and schedule attainment goals.
  • Monitor operational and automation performance metrics and drive issue resolution.
  • Lead shift startup meetings, performance reviews, and shift handoff processes.
  • Provide operational oversight of AutoStore, AMRs, robotic systems, and other automation technologies.
  • Partner with Automation, Maintenance, and IT teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system performance.
  • Escalate and resolve automation issues impacting material flow, productivity, or customer service.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase automation reliability, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Ensure effective end-to-end material flow across receiving, storage, picking, kitting, packaging, and shipping operations.
  • Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks and coordinate recovery plans during disruptions or volume surges.
  • Prioritize critical customer orders and hot-part requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Section Managers, Team Leads, and hourly employees.
  • Build organizational capability through training, mentoring, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply CPS, Lean principles, and root cause analysis to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.
  • Standardize processes, implement best practices, and eliminate waste.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, EHS, HR, and Operations leaders to support process improvements, system enhancements, and future warehouse optimization initiatives.

  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Transportation - MFG: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers.

What You Will Get:

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
