General Summary:

The Manager, Leave Administration & ADA Compliance is responsible for the strategic oversight, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization's leave of absence and disability accommodation programs. This role serves as the subject matter expert and owner of all leave-related processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering a positive employee experience. The Manager leads the organization's leave and accommodation strategy, manages complex cases, and partners closely with outside Leave and Disability vendors, Human Resources, Legal, Benefits Team, Accommodations Team, Payroll, and business leaders to ensure consistent and compliant practices.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Own and lead the organization's leave management program, including FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, military leave, personal leave, parental leave, and other employer-sponsored leave programs.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for leave administration and disability accommodations, providing guidance to HR, leadership, and employees.
• Manage and oversee the interactive process for ADA accommodations, ensuring timely, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
• Evaluate and resolve complex leave and accommodation cases, including situations involving overlapping leave and disability requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain leave and accommodation policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting leave and accommodation programs and recommend policy updates as needed.
• Partner with Legal, Employee Relations, Benefits Team, Payroll, outside Benefits Consultants, and third-party administrators to ensure effective case management and compliance.
• Analyze leave trends, identify operational risks, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor program effectiveness, compliance, and operational performance.
• Conduct audits of leave and accommodation processes to ensure regulatory compliance and data accuracy.
• Provide or facilitate training and education to HR partners, managers, and employees regarding leave and accommodation requirements and responsibilities.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance for any third-party leave or disability administrators.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members responsible for leave administration and accommodation support, as applicable.

• Compliance with federal, state, and local leave and accommodation requirements. • Timely and accurate administration of leave and accommodation cases. • Positive employee and manager experience scores. • Reduction in compliance risks and audit findings. • Effective management of leave trends, costs, and operational efficiencies. • Strong partnership and trust with business leaders and HR stakeholders.

This manager-level role provides end-to-end ownership of the leave and accommodation function, positioning the individual as the organization's lead expert and strategic advisor for all leave and ADA-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in leave administration, disability management, employee relations, HR compliance, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, state leave laws, and other applicable employment regulations.
• Experience managing complex accommodation and leave cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations and apply them to practical business situations.

Preferred:
• Prior people leadership or program ownership experience.
• Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CLMS, or equivalent.
• Experience working with leave management systems and third-party administrators.

Projected Salary Range: $106,000-119,250
