Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Manager, Leadership Development and Talent Systems, is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance employee and leadership development, in alignment with the company's culture, values and strategic goals. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of leadership development programs, creating content for leadership programming, and overseeing the implementation or upgrades of our talent systems, including our LMS and HRIS.

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, this role provides hands-on leadership to the Learning and Development and HRIS teams and partners with senior leaders and learning teams to build a robust leadership pipeline, support succession planning, and foster a high-performance culture.

What You'll Do

Leadership Development and Change Management

  • Build, design and deliver leadership development initiatives and programs. This will encompass culture building based on company values, effective communication around performance management, employee engagement, employee feedback mechanisms, and soft skills.
  • Assess current leadership capabilities, identify organizational development needs and build programs accordingly, including team building and change management.
  • Assist in the development of career growth programs, mentorship and development opportunities for all levels of employees.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple business partners, senior HR leadership, and external providers on the development programs and content
  • Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars in areas such as leadership, communication, team building, and employee engagement.
  • Facilitate leadership assessments, 360-degree feedback processes, and development planning.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, assessments, and performance metrics, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Support leadership in communicating key organizational messages, ensuring alignment with the company's values and culture.


Learning and Development

  • Assess organizational needs and design, where required, comprehensive learning and development programs to address skills gaps and enhance employee performance.
  • Partner with department heads and subject matter experts to create customized training solutions that meet specific business needs.
  • Oversee the development of e-learning platforms and blended learning strategies to ensure accessible and effective training delivery.
  • Develop and manage internal communications strategies to ensure consistent, clear, and timely communication across the organization.


Talent Systems

  • Manage day-to-day administration of LMS and HRIS platforms and modules.
  • Evaluate emerging HR technologies and recommend system enhancements.
  • Oversee and assist with the implementation of new systems or system upgrades for the learning and development team, as well as the HRIS
  • Current systems include SumTotal, Storyline, UKG, and Power BI.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple partners, senior HR leadership, project managers, IT and external vendors.
  • Other duties as required.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, with demonstrated experience leading and coordinating.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Human Resources/Learning and Development in a leadership role.
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
  • Leadership development courses, system implementations (HRIS, LMS), and CHRP preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic organizational environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of training methodologies and best practices in adult learning.
  • Travel required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
