What You Will DoYou will provide strategic oversight of all site land and water supply issues to secure sufficient water resources and protect shareholder value. You will direct and assist staff in water rights and supply planning, manage outside legal counsel on agreements and settlements, and provide expertise in hydrogeology, regulations, permitting, agency rulemaking, budgeting, forecasting, and water legislation. You lead tracking of KPIs related to land holdings, water supply, and water rights, oversee real estate matters including leasing and easements, and direct development of property budgets and management of site-based assets. You provide coordinated access to legal advice on land and water issues. You track regulatory activity, manage financial assurance reporting, support financial and risk audits, mentor employees, and perform other assigned duties.
What You Bring To Freeport- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a similar technical field or equivalent experience and 8 years of experience developing and managing water or land resources for private, public, or industrial use
Preferred QualificationsWhat We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently
$130,000-$180,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
