Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Reports to the VP of Labor Strategy and Negotiations, the Manager, Labor Strategy and Negotiations is responsible for driving the labor relations strategy for assigned collective bargaining agreements and work groups.
• Works in close coordination with the Executive team and key operations stakeholders, this position is responsible for maintaining a productive and collaborative relationship with local and national Union leaders.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• Juris Doctor degree required; or bachelor's degree and three (3) years of progressive experience in Labor Relations may be substitute for the educational requirement.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• No certification and/or licensure requirement.
C. EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years progressive experience in Labor Relations.
• Demonstrated experience in administering labor agreements, including contract interpretation, negotiations, grievances investigation and handling, arbitration and daily activities related to assuring positive union management relations.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Advanced analytical, quantitive and PC software skills.
o Strong communication skills, as well as interpersonal, coaching, consulting and process skills.
o Effective problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills.
o Ability to effectively handles difficult, complex and/or emotional issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Preferred Experience:
o Juris Doctor.
o Healthcare experience highly desirable.
o Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, federal and state employment law and the National Labor Relations Act.
