Pay Rate: Min $81,390.40 Mid $101,732.80Position Summary

Manages all Supply Chain central supply inventory operations activities for LRH's main facility and outpatient clinics. Responsible for Central Supply system orders, back-order tracking, par level supply distribution in a JIT environment. Responsible for maintenance of adequate levels of supplies to meet patient care demands.

Standard Work: Manager - Inventory Operations and Distribution
  • Responsible for setup, maintenance and distribution of supplies at decentralized par locations ensuring adequate supply levels and timely distribution to all clinical units. Develops and maintains systems to manage inventory for Central Supply and department par level inventories. Maintains accurate records so that items that are low or out-of-stock are reordered in a timely manner preventing stockouts that disrupt patient care.
  • Generates and distributes required reports for product usage, fill rates, volumes, and measurements of departmental usage. Uses data analysis and KPIs to monitor performance. Analyzes inventory usage and obsolescence, recommend adjustments to par levels, and remove outdated items.
  • Collaborates with clinical managers and directors to understand the supplies needed for clinical processes. Supports product changes, product substitutions, and new product introductions while ensuring clinical acceptance is maintained. Point of contact for customer service issues related to inventory.
  • Actively participates in Value Analysis activities for product evaluations and standardization opportunities. Ensures product conversions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Responds to all product returns and recalls. Reviews ECRI recall alerts and takes action to sequester and remove affected products. Ensures Code Carts are properly maintained and replenished.
  • Coordinates with vendors and Purchasing Department to establish delivery schedules, handle product issues, and manage credits or exchanges related to inventory location.
  • Performs all necessary functions associated with maintaining and updating the Supply Chain/Purchasing Infor systems associated with Inventory Management including information validation, supply management, par stock and point of use. Identifies opportunities to improve system efficiencies and resolves system and material issues. Works in collaboration with Information Systems on software releases and development regarding Inventory Management modules.
  • Coordinates the work activities and schedules of Central Supply staffing. Hires, retains, develops and promotes talented people. Maintains approved staffing levels. Responsibilities includes performance appraisals, rewarding and coaching employees. Collaborates with other leaders to leverage human resources.
  • Communicates and manages compliance of hospital, departmental and regulatory agency policies and standards in a generative and concise manner.
