Full Job Description
The Manager, Internal Audit, leads audits in the Insurance Products area, working with the Internal Audit Director, Insurance Products. You will execute the assigned audit plan, ensuring understanding of objectives and approach. You will identify risks and communicate improvements in a timely manner. Throughout the audit, you will train the audit team. You will stay on track for the established timeline and deadlines.

The Manager, Internal Audit, will coach, develop and train a team of staff and interns and have five or more audits they are leading at a time with the established team. Typically, we relate decisions to resources, approach, timeline, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving its own departmental area.

Detailed role responsibilities:

  • Review audit work papers and communicate the results, including providing recommendations on improvements through timely feedback
  • Proactively inform management of significant risks or exposures, and provide development feedback and coaching recommendations and improvements
  • Development and coaching of less experienced professionals to create a better understanding and consistent application of audit methodology
  • Direct team on audit implementation and analysis of test procedures and plan utilizing analysis of issues/data/processes across multiple factors
  • Ensure integration of IT and Data Analytics within audit activities where need identified
  • Identify key department methodology changes and drive implementation of those changes within projects
  • Create a team environment that encourages innovative ideas based on a strong understanding of or experience with the client, segment, Humana, and IACG
  • Demonstrate a high level of client interaction and networking to develop their personal brand and establish IACG as a trusted partner to address complex issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 or more years of audit experience
  • 2 or more years of management experience
  • Successful track record in facilitating and consulting across teams and managing projects
  • Experienced with project management able to oversee and facilitate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Likes to focus on the "big picture" and thrives in a fast paced, multi-project work environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • In depth understanding of process inter-dependencies and ability to correlate with the risks and concerns communicated by management.
  • Experience with establishing working relationships with associates within the department and the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, PMP, CFE
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Prior experience with data analytics tools, including but not limited to, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, R & Python

Additional Information

  • Candidates for this role must live within commuting distance of one of Humana's offices. These offices are located in Louisville, KY and Washington, DC.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$115,200 - $158,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
