Full Job Description
The Cancer Center Manager provides leadership to the Medical and Radiation Oncology Clinics and the Infusion Center for Columbia Memorial Hospital. Plans for and develops the clinical programming of the center, assuring optimal quality care and continuity for patients and families. Responsible for overseeing day-to-day business and clinical operations. Responsible for functions including clinical compliance and staff development. The manager works in collaboration with the CMH Director of Clinic Operations and the Director of Quality, the OHSU/CMH Collaboration Executive Committee, and the OHSU Oncology Services Leaders.

Budget and financial management skills; must have excellent customer service skills; Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, including public speaking and leading effective and efficient meetings.
License/Certification
- Must have a current unencumbered Oregon and Washington Registered Nurse State license. (BSN, MSN, OCN preferred.
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
- ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card - must obtain within 6 months of hire.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in business, nursing, public health, management or the equivalent required. Masters Degree preferred; Two or more years experience in a progressively increasing managerial/supervisory roles. Managerial experience in hospital, medical group, or clinical settings preferred. Ambulatory Care experience preferred. Experience with an oncology patient population preferred. Familiarity with managing nursing staff is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Works inside. Desk or computer work. Walking and standing much of the time while on duty. Long shifts necessary at times. Occasional lifting and transferring patients. Subject to occasional physical and emotional stress within a fast-paced environment. Pushes/pulls loaded adjust stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, crash carts and equipment carts. Transfers patients to/from cars, stretchers, beds, chairs and ambulates as necessary. Tolerates bending, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing. Lifts or carries up to 50 pounds.
