Summary:
The Manager, Industrial Maintenance, is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the company, ensuring all machinery, equipment, and facilities are in optimal condition. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and strategic planning to effectively manager maintenance staff and resources. The Industrial Maintenance Manager is not only involved in day-to-day maintenance tasks but also plays a vital role in developing maintenance policies, training employees, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. As such, this position is essential for ensuring uninterrupted operations and reducing downtime within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Asset Management process.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance activities utilizing the computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Manage and supervise lead technicians and staff to ensure quality, efficient operations.
  • Establish team goals and monitor performance and results.
  • Coordinate with other departments to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment.
  • Gather data from CMMS, analyze the data to identify trends in maintenance and equipment performance.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate the maintenance department's performance efficiently and report on their performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and control costs.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance activities and expenditures.
  • Train and develop maintenance personnel.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and issues.
  • Implement best practice for maintenance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
  • Lead the execution of complex mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, including equipment overhauls and repairs, to ensure high uptime and equipment reliability.
  • Develop, document, and manager preventive maintenance (PM) programs for all key systems (pumps, piping, compressors, chillers, etc.).
  • Perform inspections of plant equipment and infrastructure to identify failures, wear, or safety concerns before they occur.
  • Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians to enhance their professional development.
  • Ensure team compliance with all safety procedures, including working at height, confined spaces, and hazardous environments.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve system designs and resolve recurring equipment issues.
  • Ensure all maintenance and refrigerant documentation complies with EPA, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements, including leak detection logs and service records.
  • Lead the execution of complex mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, including equipment overhauls and repairs, to ensure high uptime and equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with other facility teams, such as EHS, controls, and process engineering to ensure building systems align with manufacturing process requirements and cleanroom classifications.
  • Provide input on equipment selection, control strategy improvements, and system design updates to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and support future facility needs.
  • Manage small-to-mid-sized maintenance projects, ensuring on-time and within budget completion.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools (infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, vibration analysis, etc.) to proactively assess equipment health.


Education & Credentials:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 8+ years' experience working in coordination or management of maintenance, or
  • Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in Business Administration or Facility Management, or a Certification in maintenance management, maintenance planning or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
