Job Description
As a Contracts Manager I in the Tactical Solutions Contracts department, you will report to the head of the Contracts department. You will help lead a team and propose, negotiate, and administer development and production contracts for optical systems and antennas that are used on systems to keep our nations safe and facilitate commercial wide band communications.

What You'll Do:

Provide active contract negotiation and administration on a variety of programs encompassing all phases of the contract life cycle (pre-proposal through contract closeout).
Collaborate with other employees in the department, cross-functionally and with program personnel, and for establishing effective relationships with key customers.
Be the contracting expert in the room when working with program teams.
Review contracts and related documents to assess risk to the company and recommend mitigation approaches. Ensure compliance with various federal regulations and BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems (SMS) policies.
Lead a team of 5-8 direct reports.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS/BA in a related field plus 8 or more years related experience.
Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
A current, active Secret security clearance is required.
Experience in a contracts function or equivalent experience in DoW contracting.
Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, leadership, and customers.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Computer skills to maintain contract records within our business systems as well as demonstrated research and presentation skills.
Expert-level hands-on knowledge and experience with the FAR and DFARS.

Full-Time Salary Range: $118747 - $201870
