Support Center - Irving

As the Manager - HRIS Programs, you will serve as a critical operational and strategic leader within our Human Resources Information Systems team. Reporting directly to the Director of HRIS, you will own the day-to-day execution, administration, and optimization of our enterprise Workday ecosystem, serving as a versatile subject matter expert who can seamlessly pivot across modules while connecting tactical configuration to broader business strategy.

This role balances hands-on technical module ownership-spanning Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Advanced Reporting, Security, and Release Management-with direct people leadership. You will lead day-to-day HRIS operations and mentor technical team members while partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to scale processes, maintain SOX compliance, and drive continuous system improvement.

Major Activities
  • System & Module Ownership: Serve as the subject matter expert and primary operational owner for key Workday modules, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Advanced Security, Reporting, and Release Management.
  • Release & Change Management: Oversee biannual Workday releases, evaluating new features, testing updates, and ensuring strict adherence to Change Control and SOX compliance requirements.
  • People Leadership & Development: Directly manage and mentor team members, delegating configuration and operational tasks effectively to maintain high throughput and system performance.
  • Advanced Configuration & Troubleshooting: Act as the technical point-of-contact and escalation path for complex system issues, security troubleshooting, cross-functional data errors, and intricate process modifications.
  • Advanced Report Building & Analytics: Oversee and execute the design, development, and delivery of complex custom reports, calculated fields, scorecards, and dashboards to support enterprise-wide data needs.
  • Compliance & Data Integrity: Ensure all HRIS activities comply with organizational policies, internal controls, and external regulations through rigorous reporting, auditing, and functional controls.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Identify recurring system or data gaps, proactively recommending efficiency gains and championing a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the broader HR team, IT, and Payroll to analyze work process flows, implement best practices, and deliver seamless service to the business community and executive leadership.
  • Testing & Documentation: Spearhead comprehensive user acceptance testing (UAT), ensure robust documentation for all configurations and reporting requests, and secure proper approvals.

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Human Resources, or other related field or equivalent work experience


Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
  • Workday Core HCM experience is strictly required.
  • Demonstrated hands-on proficiency configuring and managing multiple Workday modules (Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Security, and Advanced Reporting).
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data cleaning).
  • Ability to design and build complex custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards in Workday.


Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
  • 8+ years of HRIS system analysis experience is required
  • 4+ years of Workday experience is required, including business processes, integrations, and HCM transactions
  • Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret business requirements to technical solutions and business process mapping
  • Leadership or senior role within an HRIS team

  • Experience/ Knowledge of other ERP reporting tools
  • Experience leading or heavily contributing to at least one full-lifecycle Workday HCM implementation.
  • Systems architecture mindset: Ability to understand downstream impacts across modules, integrations, and reporting when executing configuration changes or designing new processes.
  • Advanced proficiency across the broader Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word).

  • Former roles in HRIS or IT supporting HR applications
