The Opportunity
We are seeking a Manager, HR in our Boulder location to serve as a strategic HR business partner to site manufacturing leadership and teams, driving the development, implementation, and coordination of HR policies and programs across employment, organizational development, and employee relations. This role also serves as a key point of contact for interactions with external regulatory agencies, ensuring the site's compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with site manufacturing leadership to align HR strategy with operational and business goals
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness
- Serve as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, talent management, and change management initiatives
Employee Relations
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant application of HR policies and practices
Regulatory & External Compliance
- Serve as the site's primary HR liaison with external regulatory agencies (e.g., EEOC, DOL, OSHA, state labor boards)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain required documentation and support audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting
Employment & Talent Programs
- Partner with talent acquisition to support hiring needs specific to manufacturing operations
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives
Organizational Development
- Support organizational development initiatives to improve employee engagement, performance, and site culture
- Support change management efforts related to process improvements, restructuring, or growth initiatives
- Facilitate training and development programs for site employees and leadership
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or people-management capacity
- Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments preferred
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and compensation practices
- Proven ability to act as a strategic partner to operational leadership
The anticipated hiring range for this role is $117K to $142K.
