DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Technology Manager, HR Data & Integrations.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

This role leads the strategy, delivery, and ongoing optimization of HR Operations and Human Capital Management (HCM) enterprise applications in support of DePuy Synthes' global workforce. The Manager partners closely with HR, IT, and business leaders to ensure HR technology solutions are reliable, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business priorities. This position plays a critical role in enabling workforce effectiveness, operational efficiency, and a positive employee experience through modern HR systems and data-driven insights and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for enterprise HR applications, including HCM, core HR, talent, time, and related HR operations systems.


  • Provide strategic direction and technical guidance for design and support of all auxiliary systems that integrate with Workday such as ADP, Fidelity, AON, Alight, etc.


  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of HR applications, including roadmap development, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and vendor management.


  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, compliant technology solutions.


  • Lead and develop a team of HR application professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.


  • Ensure system stability, data integrity, security, data archival/removal, and compliance with internal controls, privacy requirements, and applicable regulations.


  • Oversee vendors and system integrators, including contract management, performance monitoring, SaaS upgrade management, and cost optimization.


  • Drive process standardization and automation across HR operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.


  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on HR systems performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.


  • Master's degree (MBA, MIS, or similar) preferred.


Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications or HR technology, with leadership responsibility for complex systems.


  • Demonstrated experience leading HR applications (e.g., HCM platforms) in a large, matrixed, global organization.


  • Proven people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.


  • Strong understanding of HR processes, HR operations, and data governance.


  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and multi-year technology roadmaps.


  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.


Preferred:

  • Experience with large-scale HR transformations or ERP/HCM implementations.


  • Knowledge of HR analytics, reporting, and workforce data solutions.


  • Experience working in regulated or highly controlled environments.


  • Familiarity with global HR operations and multi-country workforce requirements.


Other:

  • Language: English required.


  • Travel: Up to 10-20%, domestic and limited international.


  • Certifications: HR systems or project management certifications (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, PMP) preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
153,000.00 USD Anual

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
