Job Description

Manages, plans, and oversees staffing, short- and long-range planning, program development, marketing of services, and policy/procedure implementation and oversight. Coordinates and collaborates with the leadership to ensure efficient operations of services and delivery of optimal customer service. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and regulatory agencies.

Job Responsibility
  • Establishes goals, policies and procedures, objectives and standards that are communicated to the staff.
  • Recommends, implements, and adheres to approved operating goals, objectives, and budget.
  • Prepares and analyzes operational and statistical reports.
  • Reports operational performance and recommends justification for procedural and policy changes to improve operations.
  • Establishes goals, objectives, and standards and ensures effective communication to staff.
  • Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management, and evaluation of indirect reports.
  • Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental work relationships to optimize operations by attending departmental and inter-departmental meetings, sitting in on committees as necessary, and assisting with special projects.
  • Ensures operating compliance with government and agency regulations.
  • Manages resources including operating budget, supplies, equipment, space, staff, and information.

Job Qualification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership/management experience required.
  • 5+ years of hospice care, home care, or home health experience strongly preferred.
