Full Job Description
The Wealth Management Central Client Manager plays a critical role in fulfilling this objective by leading a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) who serve some of Vanguard's largest, most complex, and loyal clients. RMs are responsible for delivering a high-quality client experience, increasing client loyalty and retention, and driving growth. We are seeking highly motivated sales and/or client service leaders, coaches, and strategic problem solvers to join the Wealth Management team in Texas.

Responsibilities:
  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors goals and action plans. Reviews team performance and identify trends, suggests improvements, and provides analysis and feedback to Relationship Managers.
  • Deepens loyalty with existing ultra-high net worth clients by anticipating needs and demonstrating expertise to align solutions. Provides coaching to Relationship Managers to help them assess client needs, build deep relationships, and recover and strengthen at-risk relationships.
  • Supports strategy planning for the team's book of business by modeling growth opportunities, contributing to business planning activities, and utilizing practice management tools.
  • Uses technical knowledge of Vanguard funds, products, and services to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
  • Resolves complex client issues related to products or processes by taking ownership and delivering with excellence. Influences changes among the team to improve end-to-end processes and meet client needs.
  • Participates in solution development with internal colleagues and cross-functional teams. Supports Relationship Managers in identifying and implementing solutions.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years related work experience. Three years of experience in Financial Services. Relationship Management and Sales experience preferred.
  • Previous sales leadership experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
    **Candidate must live in Texas for this opportunity. Relocation assistance available for internal and external candidates that are greater than 40 miles from our Plano, TX location.
