Position Summary:

The Manager, Global Payroll is responsible for overseeing the company’s global payroll operations and ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery across multiple countries. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to support a seamless and employee‑focused payroll experience.

The Manager helps drive process consistency, operational efficiency, and system optimization across global payroll activities. This role also supports payroll reporting and analytics, providing insights that help inform business decisions and maintain compliance.

Position Responsibilities

Payroll Operations & Management

  • Manage end‑to‑end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Support the standardization and alignment of payroll processes globally while accommodating country‑specific requirements.
  • Partner with Finance and HRIS teams to maintain payroll data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system performance.
  • Prepare and deliver payroll reporting and analytics related to costs, trends, compliance, and process efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with global and regional payroll vendors to ensure quality, accuracy, and cost‑effective service delivery.
  • Ensure timely payroll‑related reporting to internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Compliance & Governance

  • Interpret and apply payroll policies, tax regulations, labor laws, and data privacy standards across multiple geographies.
  • Partner with Legal and Risk to support compliance efforts and mitigate payroll‑related risks.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a key partner to HR, Finance, and Legal teams on payroll matters.
  • Communicate payroll insights, issues, and recommendations using data‑driven analysis.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop members of the global payroll team to ensure accurate and efficient payroll delivery.
  • Foster collaboration across HR and Finance to ensure payroll processes support broader organizational needs.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support global process alignment, automation, and standardization to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging payroll technologies.
  • Promote service excellence, responsiveness, and continuous improvement in the employee payroll experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required

  • Experience managing complex, multi‑country payroll operations.
  • Strong understanding of process alignment, global standardization, and payroll system optimization.
  • Ability to prepare and present payroll reporting and analytics to stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and optimizing service delivery.
  • Expertise in HRIS and payroll platforms; Workday experience required.
