Full Job Description
In our fraud, forensic investigation, business valuation, and litigation consulting practice, you will be an integral part of our rapidly growing practice within the Armanino consulting department. We are a close-knit team that works with law firms, private and public companies, business owners, and other stakeholders across a variety of engagement types and industries.

Job Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for managing and assisting in fraud investigations, forensic investigations, business valuation engagements, contract compliance matters, and dispute and litigation consulting engagements.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial information, accounting records, tax returns, forecasts, transaction documents, and court pleadings in support of business valuation, litigation, and dispute matters.
  • Assisting with litigation discovery and valuation-related document requests.
  • Developing financial models and performing financial analysis for business valuation, litigation, and forensic accounting engagements.
  • Performing business valuations for closely held businesses, operating companies, ownership interests, and family limited partnerships using the income, market, and asset approaches, as appropriate.
  • Researching industries, economic conditions, guideline public companies, merger and acquisition transactions, discount rates, and valuation discounts and premiums.
  • Preparing and reviewing valuation analyses, schedules, reports, expert reports, and other client deliverables that clearly communicate methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions.
  • Leading and playing a key role in fraud investigations, including embezzlement, financial reporting fraud, Ponzi schemes, health care fraud, and other matters.
  • Leading and playing a key role in dispute and litigation consulting matters, including shareholder and partnership disputes, marital dissolution, trust and estate disputes, billing disputes, real estate disputes, post-acquisition disputes, intellectual property disputes, lost profit analysis, lost wage analysis, and other matters requiring business valuation or damages analysis.
  • Developing strong relationships with colleagues, existing clients, new clients, referral sources, and others in the fraud, forensic, valuation, and litigation support industries.
  • Assisting in the overall engagement and client relationship process including client communication, invoicing, collections, managing budgets, preparing client deliverables, and presenting valuation and forensic findings to clients, counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentoring and coaching staff on forensic accounting, financial analysis, and business valuation concepts and procedures.
  • Assisting with business development efforts, including preparing proposals and attending valuation, legal, accounting, and other industry and networking events.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related area of study
  • Business valuation or finance credentials such as Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar credentials are desirable
  • Credentials related to fraud, forensic accounting, investigations, or damages analysis are also desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing business valuation, litigation support, investigation, forensic accounting, or related financial advisory services
  • Experience applying generally accepted valuation approaches and methods and preparing or reviewing business valuation analyses and reports
  • Proficiency in MS Office, financial modeling, and valuation research and data resources
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex valuation and forensic concepts clearly


Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $114,900 - $156,500. For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $126,400 - $172,100. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $132,100 - $179,900. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
