JOB DESCRIPTION:

About Driven Brands & Meineke

Meineke Car Care Centers is one of the most recognized names in the automotive aftermarket, with roughly 70% brand awareness and decades of proven franchise-owner success across general maintenance and repair. Meineke is part of Driven Brands - the largest automotive services company in North America, operating and franchising a portfolio of leading brands including Take 5 Oil Change, Meineke, Maaco, CARSTAR, and 1-800-Radiator across nearly 5,000 locations and 14 countries, servicing tens of millions of vehicles annually.

Joining a Driven Brands franchise-development team means selling behind real scale: a national brand with established unit economics, a mature FDD, sophisticated data-driven site and market tools, shared services in real estate, marketing, training, and supply, and the credibility of a public-company platform. For a developer, that translates into warmer conversations, faster approvals, and a story that resonates with serious, well-capitalized investors - the kind of investor who is building a portfolio, not buying a job.

Driven Brands is a meritocracy, driven by results. We reward performance, take initiative, and celebrate the people who deliver. This role is built for exactly that mindset.

How you will Own It:

We are hiring a Manager, Franchise Development to drive multi-unit and area development agreement (ADA) sales for Meineke. This is a hunting, quota-carrying role focused on identifying, qualifying, and closing high-net-worth and sophisticated investors on committing to develop multiple Meineke centers over a defined schedule.

This is not an order-taker seat. The person in this role owns the full development cycle - from sourcing and building relationships with qualified investors, through financial and business-case discussions, to executing signed multi-unit and area development agreements. The commission structure is uncapped; your earnings are a direct function of the deals you close and the units you commit to the pipeline.

Compensation & What Drives Success Here

Base salary plus an uncapped, deal-based commission. Top performers should expect commission to be the largest component of total earnings. There is no ceiling - the more multi-unit and area development volume you close, the more you earn.

  • Uncapped commission tied to signed development agreements and committed units - designed to reward closers, not caretakers.

  • Accelerators for multi-unit and area development deals over single-unit sales.

  • Recognition and advancement within a public-company, results-first culture that promotes its top developers.

What you'll Drive:

A results-driven franchise development professional who is financially fluent, comfortable in the room with high-net-worth investors, and motivated by an uncapped upside. You measure yourself by deals closed and units committed.

  • Franchise development experience - a demonstrated track record selling franchise agreements, ideally multi-unit or area development deals, in a franchised system (automotive, food, service, or similar).

  • Financial literacy - able to speak credibly to unit economics, ROI, cash-on-cash return, build-out costs, ramp curves, and portfolio-level returns with sophisticated, well-capitalized investors.

  • HNW / investor-facing presence - proven ability to build trust and drive commitment with high-net-worth individuals, private investors, and existing multi-unit operators evaluating a portfolio play.

  • An existing pipeline of buyers (strongly preferred) - relationships with qualified multi-unit investors, area developers, or franchisee groups you can activate quickly.

  • A closer's drive - self-directed, competitive, and energized by an uncapped commission; you are here to hit and beat a number.

  • Comfort with a data-driven development process - market whitespace, territory planning, and validated site/market analytics to frame the opportunity for investors.

  • Experience with franchise renewals, conversions, and re-sales a plus - a meaningful share of multi-unit growth in a mature system comes from converting independents and re-selling existing centers to stronger operators.

  • English fluency required; Spanish fluency a strong plus given the operator base.

How you'll Go the Distance:

  • Source, qualify, and close high-net-worth and sophisticated investors on multi-unit and area development agreements for Meineke.

  • Own the full development cycle - prospecting, discovery, financial validation, FDD process, and agreement execution.

  • Qualify and route prospects appropriately - introducing single-store operators, multi-store operators, and internal M&A to the right path for deal execution.

  • Screen and evaluate prospective franchisees on experience and financial qualification, consistent with Driven Brands' standards and adherence to federal franchise regulations and FDD compliance.

  • Build and manage a proprietary pipeline of qualified multi-unit buyers and area developers.

  • Present the Meineke and Driven Brands investment case - brand strength, unit economics, portfolio returns, and platform support.

  • Partner with real estate, legal, and operations to move committed investors from signature to open centers on schedule.

  • Maintain disciplined pipeline hygiene and forecasting in the development CRM (e.g., FranConnect / Salesforce).

What you'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in franchise development, franchise sales, or multi-unit development - with a documented record of closing multi-unit or area development agreements.

  • Demonstrated financial literacy and the ability to sell to high-net-worth and institutional-style investors.

  • Existing network / pipeline of qualified multi-unit investors strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent closing experience carries significant weight.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet investors and support development activity.
