Responsibilities
What You'll DoAs a Manager, FP&A & Corporate Strategy, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial and strategic direction of BJ's Restaurants. You'll serve as a strategic finance partner, leading core financial planning processes while collaborating with leaders across the business to deliver insights that drive growth, improve performance, and support critical business decisions.
You'll combine strong financial acumen with strategic thinking to support long-range planning, evaluate growth initiatives, and provide the analysis that helps move the business forward.
How You'll ContributeFinancial Planning & Analysis- Lead the development of annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Analyze monthly financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
- Prepare executive-level financial reporting, KPI dashboards, and variance analyses that provide meaningful business insights.
- Partner with leaders across Finance, Operations, Marketing, and other business functions to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and develop financial strategies that support business growth.
- Support quarterly earnings activities while helping communicate the company's financial story through thoughtful analysis and executive-ready reporting.
- Continuously enhance FP&A models, forecasting tools, reporting capabilities, and financial systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision support.
- Mentor and develop junior finance team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Corporate Strategy & Business Insights- Assess industry trends, competitive dynamics, and internal business performance to support long-term strategic planning.
- Evaluate strategic initiatives by developing financial models, business cases, and ROI analyses.
- Develop executive-level presentations and Board materials that clearly communicate strategic recommendations and financial implications.
- Serve as a trusted business partner by translating complex financial data into actionable insights that support key business decisions.
- Support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and provide analytical support for special projects as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a related finance discipline.
- Public company experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting executive leadership and partnering effectively with cross-functional business teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with exceptional financial modeling skills.
- Experience with financial planning systems and ERPs such as Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.

Salary RangeUSD $110,000 - $140,000 annually plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.
This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary within the range will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications.

This role follows a hybrid schedule. You'll join us at our Restaurant Support Center in Huntington Beach Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required.
Pay Range
USD $110,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
