Full Job Description
Benevity is seeking a Manager, Foundation Accounting with the right accounting and financial skills to join our Foundation Accounting and Reconciliation team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Foundation Accounting and Reconciliation, you will play a key role in financial reporting for our Foundation partners by overseeing the day-to-day foundation accounting operation and annual audits. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with various teams both internal and external and make a significant contribution to our company's success.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee quarterly and annual financial statement preparation in alignment with local GAAP requirements for global Foundation partners
  • Ensure team adherence to all financial reporting deadlines across dedicated foundation entities
  • Manage general ledger activities, review entries, and refine internal controls for account reconciliations
  • Lead budget vs actual analysis and donation trend reporting for multiple entities
  • Expand financial reporting to provide timely, meaningful insights for Foundation trustee board meetings
  • Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and coordinate annual audit timing and compliance reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Financial Operations, Financial Systems, Tax, and Operations to optimize ERP workflows and donation cycles
  • Lead workflow process improvements and special projects to elevate foundation financial reporting
  • Mentor, coach, and empower a high-performing accounting team while guiding annual goals and professional growth

What you'll bring:
  • 8+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and retaining high-performing accounting teams
  • Active CPA designation in good standing with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of post-designation experience, including direct work with external auditors and key stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of ASNPO and US GAAP (international non-profit reporting is an asset)
  • Proven track record in financial management reporting, process efficiency, and internal controls
  • Growth mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous learning
  • Ability to guide teams through complex, competing priorities while maintaining focus on core business goals
