Collins Aerospace is seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Service Supervisor to lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians. This role involves overseeing technical support activities, including aircraft product rework, installation support, and supplier modification changes/upgrades. The Field Service Supervisor ensures the team's adherence to processes and procedures, meeting aircraft production milestones and team objectives, developing and counseling direct reports, and effectively communicating with Boeing Supplier Management and Collins manufacturing facilities to resolve technical problems and address design issues.

What You Will Do
  • Work with the management team to plan, develop, implement, and oversee policy deployment plan actions aligned with the overall business plan objectives and targets
  • Manage performance of technicians and lead with flexibility, determining how assignments are completed (e.g., objectives and approaches to completing work)
  • Drive development of direct reports through counseling, mentoring, and leading by example and ability to have conversations to improve performance
  • Set day-to-day goals for team, ensuring short and long-term operational and production goals are met
  • Ensure adherence to all Collins, Boeing, and FAA policies, practices, and procedures of Field Support team members and Collins' visitors
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance culture in Global Trade, EHS, Ethics, Quality and more
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives to enhance profitability and business sustainability
  • Make and implement modifications to Field Support team's system and processes to resolve problems and/or improve operational effectiveness
  • Foster a high-engagement culture built on respect, empowerment, communication, and collaboration
  • Establish strong cross-functional communication with departments to align business goals and timelines
  • Develop talent and succession plans for leadership continuity and team stability
  • Communicate with a variety of internal and external department entities: Field Support team, Collins' manufacturing facilities, external airline customers and Boeing manufacturing partners:
  • Reporting work progress
  • Participating in customer-facing meetings to review quality and product performance, address customer complaints and resolve problems
  • Coordinating with Collins Engineering in determining and solving equipment design problems, evaluating product performance and conducting field trials
  • Assist Collins Program Management with determining post-Delivery commitment obligations
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and business partners


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience/Knowledge of all aspects of the business, including EH&S, people development, regulatory, quality, operational, technical, and financial requirements
  • Proven leadership experience required with strong motivation, people development, and decision-making skills


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Prior field support and supervisory experience preferred
  • Aviation or aerospace experience is preferred
  • Assembly/Installation experience within the aerospace industry is preferred

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
