Opportunity Overview

Teradyne's Factory Applications group connects product development, customer requirements, and market execution. We are seeking a collaborative, customer-focused leader to build and lead a team of application engineers supporting Digital and DC products, including the UltraFLEXplus tester platform.

As Manager of Factory Applications, you will lead a team that shapes product strategy, drives customer success, and partners across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Field Applications to accelerate adoption of Teradyne's semiconductor test solutions.

What you will do:
• Hire, coach, and develop a team of application engineers, building capability, bench strength, and clear growth paths across experience levels.
• Set team goals, technical priorities, and workload distribution while leading performance management, career development, and succession planning.
• Guide the team's contribution to the product roadmap, ensuring customer and market needs are represented in requirements definition, release readiness, and post-implementation validation.
• Build relationships with key customers and worldwide account teams, leveraging customer insights and industry trends to help shape product priorities.
• Partner with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Field Applications to align customer requirements with product strategy and business objectives.
• Serve as an escalation point for key design-ins, complex customer engagements, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Own the team's technical capability roadmap across the UltraFLEXplus platform and Digital, Serial, and DC product areas, ensuring readiness for evolving semiconductor test requirements.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve customer productivity, test quality, and adoption of Teradyne's semiconductor test solutions.

You are a collaborative people leader who develops talent, builds trusted relationships, and creates clarity across complex technical and organizational challenges.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a related technical field, including experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams through hiring, coaching, talent development, and succession planning.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including digital logic, digital communications, and signal processing; knowledge of power delivery is a plus.
• Working knowledge of software programming concepts (preferably C#) sufficient to guide technical direction and evaluate team output.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate customer and market needs into executable priorities and plans.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across organizations, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment among technical, commercial, and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and/or test is a plus.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $223,200 to 357,200. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
